Meridian Sound System 380 or 825 watt - Dottyflo - 31-03-2016 08:10pm Picking up my Evoque next week so don't have access to the inside so this may sound like one of the dumb questions how you would know what Meridian Sound System is in the car ? How would you know if it as the 380watt or the 825watt system .... I know the 320 runs 11 speakers and the 825 17 speakers... Are all the speakers visible to the eye, if not how would you tell what system it's running on Just had a thought???? If I did have the 825w Meridian surround Sound System would it state so in my spec extras RE: Meridian Sound System 380 or 825 watt - PhilSkill - 31-03-2016 09:55pm There should be speakers in the panels to each side of the rear parcel shelf if it's the 825W, 380W don't have these. Also you will have an equaliser setup and surround in 825W rather than treble and bass in 380W. RE: Meridian Sound System 380 or 825 watt - Dottyflo - 01-04-2016 05:07am Thx for the info Phil I'm heading up there today to get my plate sorted so I'll take a look RE: Meridian Sound System 380 or 825 watt - Steve D - 01-04-2016 08:07am Almost 100% sure the dual view TV is the Meridian one. Also, has 'Meridian' badge on the speakers. Turn it up full volume, you'll soon know then! RE: Meridian Sound System 380 or 825 watt - XFullFatTim - 01-04-2016 08:46am Car will only have the Dual View and TV if it is a Dynamic or Prestige with the Lux Pack or the previous owner specced it as an optional extra. The 825w system has the additional speakers and two additional sound processing systems selectable on the touch screen that the 380w system didn't get, as Philskill says. You don't need the TV to have the surround sound function on the 825w, it works with music as well as DvD's. IIRC you could also spec a TV without the 825w system or Dual View screen, problem was that if your speed got above 5mph the picture was disabled and you only got the audio, with dual view the front passenger could still see the picture and the driver the nav screen. RE: Meridian Sound System 380 or 825 watt - Dottyflo - 01-04-2016 06:53pm Popped in to dealer today and had a look at the rear on both sides of the parcel What I was hoping to see wasn't there But I'm sure I'm still going to be pleased with the 380w... RE: Meridian Sound System 380 or 825 watt - PhilSkill - 01-04-2016 07:23pm 380W is absolutely fine and all you need for decent quality Music, the 825W is awesome but surround sound is the main upgrade which is not needed for music anyway, and also unless you're a bass junkie then you'd probably want to do your own Sub upgrade anyway. RE: Meridian Sound System 380 or 825 watt - PhilSkill - 01-04-2016 08:25pm Nice setup! You like your vinyl! The 380W Sub is ok, but don't expect it to rattle all the plastic clips loose! |
