What are 'premium' leather seats? - Steve D - 13-10-2015 07:03pm As above. Looking around, I see some Evoques advertised with 'premium' leather seats. Is there such a thing and if so, what are they and how can you tell? RE: What are 'premium' leather seats? - XFullFatTim - 13-10-2015 09:35pm If the car is fairly recent (2014MY on) and it is a Prestige or HSE Lux then IIRC the premium seats are the heated AND climate cooled. If it is a Dynamic then if they are high backed with "grab handles" then they might be the "Plus" Pack Recaro seats which are only heated, also they cannot be specified with rear seat entertainment (the screens are too big to fit the Plus pack head restraints. Plus pack seats look like this These are the Tan version, fronts The seat backs Same seats in Ebony These are both cars I have owned. The Plus seats are no longer available unfortunately, they were some of the most comfortable car seats I have ever sat on RE: What are 'premium' leather seats? - Steve D - 13-10-2015 09:55pm They look nothing like them unfortunately. They are just ebony ones in a 63 plate prestige lux. They have what looks like the same stitching though - I suppose they are just a different leather then? RE: What are 'premium' leather seats? - XFullFatTim - 13-10-2015 10:10pm Then it will be the climate controlled seats that it has. They look like standard seats but the controls will have cooling as well as heating. They were also an option on the 2014 Dynamic onwards. Remember that production of 2014MY started in August 2013 and will be 63 plated. RE: What are 'premium' leather seats? - Steve D - 13-10-2015 10:27pm Thanks. A definite plus point for the one I'm looking at. What are 'premium' leather seats? - Stadt Panzer - 13-10-2015 11:44pm I have them on my Dynamic and they are a softer leather, Oxford, very nice indeed and as Tim said they are heated and cooled. RE: What are 'premium' leather seats? - The Valeter - 13-10-2015 11:53pm The Premium Leather Seats were always the softer OXFORD leather. Presumably that is still the case? RE: What are 'premium' leather seats? - m_101 - 14-10-2015 12:43am Are the plus seats (shell backed) really no longer available? shame - they're really good! I haven't found them yet on the 2016MY configurator. They are standard on the RRS SVR and on some of the F Type Jaguars so maybe Evoque's allocation is needed elsewhere! Had 36k on the clock (which was over 1,000 miles more than in the advert) and was filthy dirty so I suspect they'd been using it to bring the McDonalds back at lunchtime! Has been a two-owner car - first Landrover, then the LR dealer so it's probably been a demo/loan car or something. Drivers seat looked well stretched on the base too. No spare wheel. They were asking just under £34k and it's the only car I've phoned up for that's still unsold so that set bells ringing before anything. My hunt continues! |
