Subwoofer - antonunabia - 12-07-2014 01:15pm Hello! I am a newbie in this forum. I have a question regarding my 2012 5-door Prestige. I have a Meridian Surround Audio setup. Why is it that my RRE doesn't have any subwoofer? I have already checked the passenger under seat and there is none. I hope you could help me guys. Thanks.. Subwoofer - Stadt Panzer - 12-07-2014 03:58pm Is it the 825w system? RE: Subwoofer - doug - 12-07-2014 08:52pm Welcome, Both the 325w & 825w have a subwoofer fitted as standard in the UK. Have you checked in the Audio settings, where you adjust the sound output to see if subwoofer is listed. Do you have the 7inch centre display, or the 5inch one. I ask as some county's had more of a basic Audio system, as well as half leather seats etc... RE: Subwoofer - antonunabia - 13-07-2014 03:17am I think it is the 825w because I have one coaxial speaker at the center of the dash, 3 speakers on each front doors, 2 speakers on both rear doors, and 2 located at the back (luggage). I do have sub option in the audio settings menu but unfortunately there is no subwoofer under the passenger front seat. Our dealer told us that my RRE is imported straight directly from UK. RE: Subwoofer - XFullFatTim - 13-07-2014 04:16pm IIRC UK cars with 825w have 17 or 19 speakers, the lower rated system has 15 speakers. To tell without the speaker count is to go I to the audio system settings and look to see if you have a Meridian surround sound option - that is the uprated system. If you turn the bass up to full and have a loud setting on the volume and sit in the drivers seat of a UK car you can feel the bass through the seat cushion......... At least you can on a Plus trimmed car with the uprated system. The only real obvious visual differences of the 2 systems that I know are there are 2 speakers mounted in the flat side panels next to the rear parcel shelf on the 825W and just plain plastic on the 375W, I think the 825W gets a graphic equaliser in the setup menu also, where the 375W gets Bass/Treble adjustment. If the sub Woofer was missing the system will likely sound very flat, with no booming bass as it will be tuned to use the Sub woofer. Try playing with the Sub options and see if you can hear a difference. |
