Going, Going............. - THEMACS - 08-05-2014 01:44pm

Almost Gone!!!

Well our ownership experience with the Evoque is about to come to an end this weekend.

A complete change of vehicle line up in the household means the Evoque is out!

Its been a mixed experience, Car looks good and is relatively good to drive. On the downside, Engine extremely unrefined and the car is not quite big enough generally. The car really needs a decent engine to match the looks and ditch the 4cyl Taxi Motor!! Anyways I am very glad we experienced the car and it was good being one of the earlier owners when there weren't very many around.

I hope everyone on the forum enjoys their cars and enjoys this very informative helpful forum!Very Happy

Thanks Tim, hopefully we will.

Ideally I wanted a new RRS but couldn't quite stretch to that, maybe next time!

Hope all goes well with yourselfVery Happy

I don't think Land Rover realises quite how many customers it has lost from current Freelander/Evoque owners who wanted to upgrade to an RRS but didn't ant to spend £65,000+ on a car and wanted the SE version. Shortsighted but as they can sell every HSE they can make I'm sure that flavoured their decision to withdraw the lower priced version.

It's the + bit, specing one up to a decent spec was over £70k with no discounts, as you say they seem to be able to sell them all day long.

We got a decent price for the Evoque so can't grumble!

Funny enough I have a meeting with a client tomorrow who has just swapped his Evoque for a newRRS so I'm looking forward to having a good look at it, he got invited to a launch event and just couldn't not have one, before the Evoque he had a RRS.

Decent spec? I specced all the necessities on my RRS and it was a bit less than £65k.

When I looked it was just north of £72k for Dynamic HSE and that wasn't going stupid with options, anyway it looks like a lovely car!
