Fog Lights / High Beams? - mstraka - 20-04-2014 04:45pm On my Evoque the light switch won't allow me to turn on the fog lamps when the high beams are on. Is this lighting limitation a feature on the Evoque or do I have a faulty light switch? If it is a feature is there a work around to have the fog and high beams working together. As the fogs do a great job of brightly illuminating the road directly in front of you the combination with the high beams would be very good on poorly surfaced dark country roads at night. RE: Fog Lights / High Beams? - XFullFatTim - 20-04-2014 04:59pm It could be something to do with USA construction rules as in my UK spec car I can, if I use the manual on facility, have high beam with front fogs so long as I put the headlights on using dipped beam first then switching on the front fogs. However in the UK, as far as I am aware, it is illegal to drive with front or rear fog lights on when it isn't foggy. RE: Fog Lights / High Beams? - Redrob - 20-04-2014 10:45pm I thought the law allowed pensioners to drive with rear fogs on, if it rains a bit! My 2012 RRE only allows the front fog lights in low beam...not sure if the rear works in high beam or not. I have had other vehicles that did the same for the front fog lights w/low beam only. RE: Fog Lights / High Beams? - Tony - 23-04-2014 03:56pm MY 2012 Dynamic, front and rear fogs work with high beam, just checked.
