They are not very well fastened on in the first place, and even less so if you have had recourse to remove one to enter the car using the key after a defect has occurred - so they should replace them under warranty and hopefully the opening poster will get the same. I was informed 'politely' that the item isn't under warranty unless I can prove it 'fell off'..... and that if someone had already had one replaced it was 'a gesture of goodwill'... no goodwill here then I replied..... cost me £15 and will have to get it painted....
