BMW X-Drive - PhilSkill - 04-12-2013 11:00pm Looking at an advert for the BMW 320d X-Drive and since its supposedly "intelligent" e.g. it can transfer 100% of engine torque to any wheel now, I wondered if anyone has been able to compare directly to the Evoque? Also comes with free NAV and 5 years free full servicing. Could this be the end of laughing at BMWs in the snow? List price starts same as Evoque at 29k. RE: BMW X-Drive - Radeco - 05-12-2013 12:20am " it can transfer 100% of engine torque to any wheel" - HMMM -that means it can do doughnuts ? (in the snow) RE: BMW X-Drive - XFullFatTim - 05-12-2013 03:42pm I think you will find Freelander2 and Evoque may be able to do the same torque transfer in certain conditions when the system senses wheels spinning it will brake them and transfer drive to any wheel with grip - so nothing new from BMW! |
