Essential Options? - barneyrubble - 10-11-2013 04:46pm

Seen a couple of references to "essential options" on the forum.

What are the best options to have - say on a Pure Tech pack car.

As above + fog lights

I would add the powered tailgate if you have children and use the boot a lot

Powered tailgate is a must IMHO - I wouldn't use the boot anywhere near as much without it.
I agree with pano roof, xenons, fog lights, rear camera and spare wheel. I don't think 20s are essential - in fact if you can get 19s then tyres are way cheaper and easier to come by.

+1 on the tyre comments, although the bigger tyres/wheels doesn't have as much effect on ride quality as you might expect

Powered tailgate
Pano roof
Xenons

And now I'm also going to say the heated steering wheel Laughing

+1 for the spare wheel - had a puncture on a trip to Ireland. Changed the wheel in a Dublin car park, and stopped at an out of town tyre place on the way back to where we were staying. Tyre repaired and back on the car inside 20 minutes for the huge fee of 12 euro!

I also love the heated steering wheel on these chilly mornings Laughing

Thanks for all the replies.

What's people's impression of the standard sound system?

Is the upgrade worth the best part of a grand?

RE: Essential Options? - LaserTam - 10-11-2013 08:22pm

I find the standard system very good. Like many of the 'options' - its personal preference on what is important to you. If I was to place another order today, I wouldn't be parting my well earned for an upgrade on the music system.
What I might do though:
power tailgate
Don't think I am missing anything else.
