FS: Thule Motion 800 plus Aero Wing Bars and Evoque foot pack - Deaky - 15-09-2013 12:08pm

Hi all

I'm selling my roof box. I bought it to go away in December. I've used it once and now I've bought a Kombi van so we can get all the family plus luggage in.

Included is the roof box, aero bars, Evoque foot pack 1No nose shaped nose bag and 4No luggage bags. I've built a frame to fix the lifter to the ceiling joists in the garage.

Everything is in mint condition, it's only been used once. The total cost to buy everything is over £700. I'm looking for £550.00 I live in West Midlands so you'd need to collect it but I don't mind meeting half way.

Call me on 07971 234012
or email Richard (AT) deakin (DOT) me

The specs are as follows

Thule Motion 800 roof box in gloss black
Thule Aero wing bars
Thule 754 Evoque foot pack
Thule 571 load lift
Thule go pack luggage set

Slightly off thread, but am considering a roof box for my car but am a bit concerned about the affect on fuel economy. Can you advise?

I was pleasantly surprised when I had one fitted to my car a year ago, I was expecting it to be very noticable as I monitor my fuel consumption at every refuel. I drove from London to Scotland with it up there and honestly if I hadn't had a panoramic roof I would not have known it was there - negligible fuel penalty (I generally don't drive above 70 on motorways anyway as the extra fuel consumption way outweighs the additional time taken) and it was very quiet as it cleaved through the air. I also have the LR roofrails and LR aero shaped crossbars. Don't know how well any other brand of box / rails perform though.

Sorry to hijack the thread...considering something similar for carrying a bike. I just can't envision how this system can be stable and not damage the finish. Am I just being paranoid?
