1st Service due - stiggy - 06-09-2013 02:16pm Hi, 12 months and 17K enjoyable (though not very economical) miles on and my BabyRR needs its first service. I live in Bolton and our nearest stealer is Stratstone Bury however we won't be going to them as the buying expereince was terrible and they frankly don't deserve the business! ![]() Any recommendations for an alternative (localish) dealer, also what should I expect to or ultimately pay (did you get a deal)? Any response really appreciated! RE: 1st Service due - PhilSkill - 06-09-2013 03:40pm Try here http://babyrr.com/forum/thread-7033.html?highlight=first+service and here http://babyrr.com/forum/thread-5898.html Arent you supposed to have it serviced before 16000 miles... Looks like Team valley are cheapest and I can get there next time I'm up in the NE? Any recommendations for more local dealers though folks? RE: 1st Service due - XFullFatTim - 06-09-2013 06:23pm Must admit that my service indicator hasn't illuminated and I'm only 2 days from its 2nd birthday, and only 19750 miles on the odo -I was expecting to get the 28 day count down showing so I wonder if LR has changed it and not told owners........ The sticker on my windscreen also says that the car is due this month 1st Service due - Teetree - 17-09-2013 02:05pm (06-09-2013 02:16pm)stiggy Wrote: Hi, Just had my first service at stratstones bury as part of a service plan. Everything went ok I guess apart from the valeting which wasn't up to scratch. Smudges and smears on every shiny surface eg gear console, driver display cluster, touch screen. I realise it's complementary but pretty rubbish really at this level RE: 1st Service due - XFullFatTim - 17-09-2013 04:03pm Is the "wash and buff up" described in their service menu as a valet or just a wash? There are still some dealers around that don't do anything, you get your car back as dirty as it went in............ so be thankful they did what they did! RE: 1st Service due - doug - 17-09-2013 05:16pm I had a "do not wash" sign made up, handing from the rear view mirror & I write across the paper work the same. I'm not blaming the wash guys at any dealership. As they only have about 10-15mins to spend on each car, with basic equipment & products. RE: 1st Service due - XFullFatTim - 17-09-2013 06:57pm Just before mine went in for service I noticed a long scratch on the passenger door glass............. that wasn't the dealer's guys, it must have been the local pressure wash guys with their long handled microfibre cleaner brush |
