Not the greatest resolution but fine for basic video and says ok at night, and does mean a long record time. Not sure how useful security snoop mode would be when pointing out the front, maybe best to turn it around... and may give a reason to break in a steal it if left in the window! should be good for putting your off-road adventures on the internet!

I have a very cheap HD camera and is quite a fun toy if a bit cheap.

I use a Roadhawk In car camera ( http://www.roadhawk.co.uk/) . Its good for recording the stupidity that goes on and should be helpful if I ever need it.
Scariest so far was the muppet going back up the off slip road, straight towards me , on M25 presumably because he didn't want to actually go off at that point. Shocked
I think dogcam do the more "action proof " camera ( http://www.dogcamsport.co.uk/)

I've seen a few delivery/courier vans with something similar "eyecam" I think it's called.

Hopefully it is kit like this that is bringing down the annual insurance premiums, 10% reduction was quoted last week in the media.

Does anyone know if our insurers offer a reduction in our premiums if we fit one of these?

Insurance going down? Please tell Land Rover Insurance, as my cover on the Defender increased by £40 when I renewed 2 weeks ago.

Your claim on the RRE boot would have increased the cost. One insurance company (I won't name them) wanted a extra £100 when my wife had made a claim on her insurance, as she was I named driver on my car. Even having protected no claims discount made no difference.

I didn't claim, I paid for it myself as when the estimate came it was almost on my excess, of course when the final bill came......... I wished I had claimed
