Barolo Black or Santorini Black - JaneRom - 20-05-2013 07:26am

I'm just about to order my first Evoque but am undecided about the best black! Any advice?? I am ordering a Lux Prestige and cannot wait to drive it!

Personal choice really. I like Barolo with the red/purple shades in sunlight, Santorini is more of a classic metallic black.

Same, I have Barolo, in normal light it looks like black, but in sun shine its is very nice and unique color Smile

I have Barolo & then coloured some of the plain grey trims in Firenze Red.

Let me think...it's the Barolo...worth the extra in my opinion. It also washes fantastically, not sure if that has anything to do with the paint finish.

If you haven't ordered yet then I would hold off until your dealer has details of 2014MY colours incase there are new colours coming after July. If you look at the LR website colours for D4/RRS/FFRR and Freelander2 there are even more choices of black "shades" that might come our way too

I ordered the Barolo Black, fortunately i have seen it as one of the dealers had a Ranger Rover Sport in it. It looks black most of the time but where the light catches it and the sun shines on it it has a claret type hint.

Lovely colour that is a bit different to black but not too different!
