Upgrade interior plastic surrounds. - BRO-T - 21-03-2013 02:20pm Hi all. Whilst my car is having a couple of issues fixed, i have a loaned Evoque which is really nice. more lush interior than mine. I noticed that the plastic surround by the door handles and the window switches, is a gloss black. Mine is matt black. Is it possible to get these parts? Also the cover over the center console storage is gloss black. I think it just adds to the interior. RE: Upgrade interior plastic surrounds. - scrannel - 21-03-2013 02:59pm There are a couple of ways. If you have a good trim shop and you can order the parts, you'll get the exact stuff. But there are after market companies as well... not sure which way would be more expensive. Just an example: http://www.pureevoque.com/range-rover-evoque-dash-trim-kit-41-piece-set-p-61.html#.UUsRnzeXSjQ RE: Upgrade interior plastic surrounds. - XFullFatTim - 21-03-2013 08:13pm You could try asking Dan at Duckworth's - they are probably available for crash damaged cars. RE: Upgrade interior plastic surrounds. - WB - 21-03-2013 08:39pm They're all standard parts so you can look up the part numbers at lrparts.ru RE: Upgrade interior plastic surrounds. - BobM - 22-03-2013 08:26am Be careful what you wish for. There are a few previous posts which seriously criticise these shiny gloss parts for being easily scratched and marked and I'm sure they wont come cheap in the first place. RE: Upgrade interior plastic surrounds. - XFullFatTim - 22-03-2013 09:02am The cover for the centre tunnel cupholder is especially easily scratched RE: Upgrade interior plastic surrounds. - scalle - 22-03-2013 05:12pm even the exterior glossy black parts are easily scratched, but this isn't a LR issue; all glossy parts easily scratch. RE: Upgrade interior plastic surrounds. - The Valeter - 22-03-2013 08:43pm I loved my gloss black trim bits in my Dynamic Evoque 7 when I first drove a Pure I thaught the matt grey looked drab & them when I ordered my Pure Tech I did have that concern in my mind that I would regret selling the Dynamic. I considered ordering the centre console tunnel cover in gloss black @ around £73 I believe but never bothered. I'm not going to bother doing any of them now as I think the matt grey is fine & probably wears a lot better & in fact it goes very well with the Cirrus trim I have. |
