What does a flashing light on the key fob mean? Just had an email to say that the key fob is flashing so assume it has a flat battery

Obviously not completely flat, though! Wink

Problem is I'm 6000 miles away from the car and trying to speak over a satelitte link to a mobile phone that is on the edge of a network! I also cannot access the owners manual on my iPad

I've had a look in the manual but can't find anything about flashing lights on key fob. Will investigate further.
The only thing I can find with flashing LED light is the remote pre heat thingy, the green light flashes once every 2 seconds when the system is active. Hope this helps.

J thanks for that. I contact James at HGG and he had never heard of a flashing light on a key fob either. I think my Dad is maybe confusing it with the dash board light. The battery cannot be completely flat otherwise he wouldn't have been able to get into the car. Interestingly the tracker service I use phonedvtwice today to say that the car had something wrong with it but they couldn't tell if it was their gearvorvthe car battery that was playing up and could I get it to a dealer to get it looked at. Phoned them and explained the situation, they were really helpful and have put the car on extra watch!
Main battery was almost dead, LRA replaced it under warranty!
