I've just (literally by email @ 2040) received this wonderful offer from my dealer ..

"Any 12 Registration Land Rover bought on the 12th December 2012 and delivered in 2012 will receive 12 months free servicing"

Well, many thanks for that £300-£400 saving on something I've got to make a rush decision on tomorrow!

Pretty safe there then aren't they.

Order/buy a car on 12/12 and it will be delivered by 31/12 to get £300/£400 off.

More chance of seeing Shergar at Kepton Park on Boxing Day

In other words they have stock in such a poor spec that they cannot shift it and are offering some poor unsuspecting soul what they think is a great offer.

+1, they've probably got some registered cars to shift quickly, and want you through the door to talk you into them...

Yeah, I got one of these too and was wondering how you could possible order a car on 12th Dec and take delivery by the end of the month... then I realized it was 12 plates so yes, they're just trying to shift their old pre-registered stock. So a free service actually costs them what... maybe £100?

Actually what they are trying to do is offer you a "fantastic" deal (not) so they can make their sales quota for the end of the month/ year and earn a huge amount more than £400 in bonuses from Land Rover for meeting their targets - might be worth going and haggling a couple of 1000's off their offered price to make it worth your and their while to meet their target!

Got a text from hunters preston offering the same deal, ridicules and poor marketing. Taking advantage that the date was 12/12/12.
