Wanted Michelin Latitude Sport Tyre for Dynamic, North of England - KK - 01-11-2012 10:24am

I am struggling to track down a tyre to replace the flat I got yesterday. Just being offered the Continental alternative, so have to get 2 to have a 'matching axel pair' which Range Rover advise for the warranty.

Mine have done 10,000 miles so ideally similar tread.

Otherwise anyone want to buy the perfectly good one thai will have to take off?

Thanks in advance

KK

Take a look at the forum sponsors over on http://www.disco3.co.uk and on http://www.rrsport.co.uk - AJS Tyre Services are excellent and can supply tyres all over the UK, and give Disco3 forum members a discount (try asking for one from babyyRR!) Their web address direct is http://www.ajstyres.co.uk

Thanks, that has been really helpful, they suggested to call Micheldever in Southam, Warks, they have a tyre but I can't buy it as I'm they are a wholesaler. So trying to get a local tyre place to buy it from the for me.

If you need that number any time it's helpful as the can check of their system for their stock across their depots 01926 816842.

Much appreciated

Got my replacement tyre. It was a 15 cm piece of metal which appears to be the handle of half of a pair or pliers. The blunt end punctured the tyre. Going to contact Michelin as I don't believe this should have pierced the tyre. The Kwik Fit guy said he'd never seen anything like it.

Thanks for the help.

On the road again

What happened with this in the end

A handle of a pair of pliers, if you drove over that and the end got caught in the tread it would definitely puncture it... 1800Kg's of moving weight will force any blunt ended shaft through a tyre easily...
