Dynamic SD4 Manual - M30 EVO - 01-08-2011 02:15pm Just ordered a Dynamic SD4 Manual. Although I appreciate that the majority of buyers will probably go for the auto, which I have had in several LR's over the years, I feel that the manual will provide a potentially more sporting / involved drive. Also, theoretically, the fuel consumption should be slightly better.... every litlle helps!! Anyone had the chance to drive a manual yet? Any comments / views greatly received! Many Thanks, Chris. RE: Dynamic SD4 Manual - XFullFatTim - 01-08-2011 02:17pm The auto is faster 0-62 than the manual.................. according to the stats RE: Dynamic SD4 Manual - paulus599 - 01-08-2011 02:24pm (01-08-2011 02:17pm)FullFatTim Wrote: The auto is faster 0-62 than the manual.................. according to the stats By quite a large margin too - 8.0 secs for the Auto 9.5 for the manual RE: Dynamic SD4 Manual - mark_n - 01-08-2011 02:42pm That's probably down to quicker changes in the automatic. I assume there's two manual gear changes to 60. Torque converters are much less slushy than they used to be. I am confused about who makes the auto box though. Some say Aisin Warner, others ZF. Any info? RE: Dynamic SD4 Manual - Blackseries - 01-08-2011 03:32pm Aisin Warner = 6 speed ZF = 8 speed ....... Jag XF etc .... I think |
