Range Rover / Land Rover Owners - Stadt Panzer - 24-08-2012 05:06pm Been thinking about this for a while but never seemed to get round to it After reading a lot of post's on here I thought it would be interesting to know how many proud Evoque owners have actually had Land Rovers before. Just a bit of fun people. Range Rover Sport RE: Range Rover / Land Rover Owners - Coolbanana - 24-08-2012 05:39pm I had a LR Discovery 4 before the Evoque. RE: Range Rover / Land Rover Owners - Griff449 - 24-08-2012 05:49pm I've had two Freelanders in between 6 x Focus ST, 2 x Focus RS ........ RE: Range Rover / Land Rover Owners - XFullFatTim - 24-08-2012 06:09pm 1996 - 1 year old 20000 miler Disco1 V8iES 5 Door, every optional extra going - my first LR product, went into the dealers to buy a 2.0ltre Volvo V40 and came out with a used V8 Disco..... 1998 - Disco2 TD5 S Auto, only extra was a tow bar....... awful car (mainly due to lack of power for the autobox) and the only LR that has broken down on me (on my last day of owning it too as it broke on the way to collect the next car.....) 2001 - Freelander1 TD4 GS Auto 2002 - 6 years old Defender 90County Hard Top added to the garage as the Freelander was going places it wasn't designed to go (and surviving) - very soon converted to a 90 County Stationwagon - still have it 10 years later 2003 - L322 TD6 SE Range Rover in Monte Carlo Blue - the car I saved for 28 years to buy! Dream achieved 2005 - RRSport SE in Giverny Green not a single extra other than the tow pack 2007 - RRS TDv8 HSE - best all round car I have ever owned, it could even go round corners without falling over! 2009 - Deposit paid on "we are taking deposits, but it may never be built" LRX, baby Range Rover 2010 - purchased 6 months old 1900 miler Range Rover TDv8 Vogue - the most beautiful and comfortable car I have owned, also the most economical Range Rover I have owned.......... 2011 - February - Lookers Park Royal contact me to say LR are building RRE, to place my order now for delivery on launch day - so order one with virtually all the extras 2011 - September 9th - Evoque arrives on my drive after an amazing drive the length of the UK - never have I been the centre of so much attention on the motorways of the UK. 2011 - Deposit paid on a DC100 in the vain hope that LR might build the open top version 2012.................... september - could I be about to change my deposit on the DC100 into a deposit on a 2014 RRS? Especially after seeing 4 Evoques in the small village I live in in a single day........... they are getting way too common! Hmm, The new RRS looks stunning from what i can say according to the official pictures released from LR last week. I will drive the Evoque for approx. 4 Years, after that I maybe will go for the RRS. For now I will be absolutely happy with my rre( if he will arrive in a couple of weeks) I guess. I live near Frankfurt, and I have spotted maybe 6 Evoques in the last 2 months, so I don't have the problem that the Evoque is to common yet. A car like the RRS is for people above 40 I think, I mean I am 27 years old, the Evoque is still a very luxurious and expensive car for a person of my age, so I will try to go for the RRS a bit later. Never owned a LR/RR before. Fiat Punto,Fiat Stilo, Alfa Romeo Brera, Fiat Bravo, Alfa Romeo 159, Mini JCW(my car ATM) ordered Evoque now. Range Rover / Land Rover Owners - cutter7 - 24-08-2012 08:04pm 1966 Series IIA (mountain rescue) loved it to bits and it's still used daily! 1998 Freelander first one ordered at our then 'LR dealership' now it's a Homebase centre. This 1.8 LXI 'full spec' with the K Series engine was the biggest mistake I have ever made when buying a new car. It spent its first 6 months going back to the dealership approx, every 3-6 weeks for various quality issues etc, kept it for 10 months and was glad to see the back of it. My present RRE, have owned since Dec 11 and it's been perfect.. This could be our Evoque! Previous Land Rovers all of which were totally trouble free- 2001 Freelander TD4 Auto ES 2004 Freelander TD4 Auto HSE 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 Auto SE Tony RE: Range Rover / Land Rover Owners - jorn - 24-08-2012 09:21pm Starts with serie 3 109 county station wagon 82 Discovery 200tdi Series 2 109 station wagon 68 Series 2a lightweight. Discovery 2 hse And now after a boring Audi a6 i'll be the proud owner of a Baltic blue evoque. RE: Range Rover / Land Rover Owners - IKM - 24-08-2012 09:23pm Many in the past, and many more to come. Just been looking at initial reviews of the MY2013 Freelander, and it's tempting to change my 2010 FL2 for that. And change the RRE for new FFRR (although SWMBO quite clearly said no!). Most likely wait for revised RRS or DC100 (already put my name down for that). Just gets better and better with LR. |
