Tyre approval chart (inc winter tyres) - BFGEvoqueMan - 21-08-2012 06:27pm

Found this on TOPIX and thought it might be of use. Shows that all 17"/18"/19" tyres are M&S marked but not snowflake marked but 20" Conti and Michelin are DEFINATELY only a summer tyre. Might clarify winter tyre info for some

We, up north where you get proper winters require the SnowFlake marked tyres. Be interesting to see what they 'approve' although I think go with Nokian Hakkapeliitta R. What's the approved size for 19" winter tyres? 235/55/19... I can't see the document on Topix.

Edit:
Never mind, it eventually loaded on my macbook. I can see the snowflake tyres.

Tires are the easy thing.. It's the wheels that I'm seeing are the issue with the rare 5 x 105 alignment .. And our winters here are brutal.. Lots of snow and freezing rain..nanxious to put this too the test !!

I thought it was 5x108?

You're right, it is 5x108, same as Freelander 2.

My Evoque has the Conti UHPe 235/55 19" and despite what this chart says there is no M+S marking on the tyres. looking an mytyres they are listed as a summer tyre.

The M+S marking isn't all that clear on my Conti 19" (in comparison to the clarity of the marking on Michelins etc), but it's there. It's under the marking stating "Outside Extra load" as M.S
