Anyone complain to RR North America/RR central on Nav screen slowness? - katscan - 21-08-2012 04:07pm Hi all Just put in my 2 cents to let RR HQ in north america know that the nav screen is way too slow for a car in this price range. They could probably fix this with a software update at some point, but only if people let them know that its a concern. Specifically, the touch screen entry for typing in addresses needs to be addressed since its just silly slow. Who knows if they end up doing anything, but my concern is at least logged. Cheers ! RE: Anyone complain to RR North America/RR central on Nav screen slowness? - ED209 - 21-08-2012 04:58pm I raised it with LR in my customer satisfaction survey giving full details of the problem. I didnt receive any follow up at all. When I called them today by phone, they mentioned they had heard about it but that it is normal (complete bullshit, my 2003 Lexus text entry was faster, as were the other cars we tested before getting the Evoque) But they said they would pass it along. So all we can do is have people call in and hopefully it will get addressed. I imagine when they roll out this Nav package in the upcoming models more people will have a say in what they think, which is good. Certainly LR has had much faster systems in the past, my last Range Rover and Range Rover Sport both had far superior systems that didn't have the utterly useless "eco" rating of the optional routes or the slow input of letters and numbers. |
