Snap! Triumph 1300TC in Sienna Brown for me - was horrified to see one in the Coventry Transport Museum earlier in the year - free entrance and worth a visit if you have owned a few british cars... RE: Oh if only it were this easy! - Evo-king - 15-08-2012 11:01pm That's the one, mine was a light grey. Back in the day it won car of the year award. Had the lovely wood dash and door caps, also a clever lights & indicator dimming feature, i.e. lights on indicators dimmed, quite radical back then. Did think about going down the Dolomite Sprint route, but getting married and buying a house meant different priorities. Ahhh - I had a Doly Sprint, a few years later in Mimosa Yellow - 1973 'L' reg - I bought it off a British Leyland employee in Oxford - he had ordered it when they were first announced - manual no overdrive on the early ones. Aluminum wheel nuts - now there was a rubbish idea! There is one of those, same colour in the museum too....nostalgia... RE: Oh if only it were this easy! - XFullFatTim - 16-08-2012 08:42am Always wanted a Dolly Sprint, but I wanted a Triumph Stag even more! But not as much as I dreamed of owning a FFRR one day. Took 28 years of saving but in 2003 with a little help from the bank I achieved my dream - suddenly I lost all interest in a Dolly Sprint but would still love to have a Stag for those occassional sunny days we used to get! RE: Oh if only it were this easy! - NightFox - 16-08-2012 10:48am Cool video! Based on their prices, I'm guessing that this is what would be included in a LR annual service? ![]() RE: Oh if only it were this easy! - XFullFatTim - 16-08-2012 10:52am Did you notice on the tab how long it took to make the video/ overhaul the engine and how many photos he took to make it? Wish I could say the same for the fuel economy though! |
