Reto fitting Sat Nav - Will_B - 11-08-2012 09:22pm As the evoque has the centre screen as standard, I was wondering if it would be possible to retro fit the Sat Nat functionality? Is it just and additional plug in module? RE: Reto fitting Sat Nav - WB - 11-08-2012 11:19pm At a minimum It would be the satnav module and the gps receiver. I had satnav retrofitted to a Mercedes a few years ago (by a specialist not a dealer) and it was surprisingly simple as the car had the wiring loom etc but not sure if anyone has attempted yet in an evoque RE: Reto fitting Sat Nav - berlin2011 - 12-08-2012 07:27am One forum user has done this with a third party module - http://babyrr.com/forum/Thread-Stagemotion-Multimedia-upgrade?page=3 RE: Reto fitting Sat Nav - smayo - 12-08-2012 08:23am To retrofit the LR Sat Nav, why bother? Compared to even the cheapest aftermarket Sat Nav it's a load of rubbish. To retrofit an aftermarket Sat Nav displayed on the main screen then definetly a good choice. RE: Reto fitting Sat Nav - XFullFatTim - 12-08-2012 09:15am If you go over to http://www.freel2.com there are a couple of excellent stickied threads about integrating TomTom style satnavs into the dash. Unfortunately RRE even in it's most basic version doesn't have a large hole in the centre of the dash to slot an aftermarket satnav into neatly. |
