question for diesel owners - phoenix - 22-07-2012 08:01pm

Thinking about changing our FL2 auto for an auto Evoque

The FL2 doesn't have a DPF so it doesn't mind a fair bit of short jouneys during the week (4 miles a day). The FL2 is then used some weekends for longer runs out.

OK we could go for petrol Evoque but these are a bit out of our price range at the mo....would a diesel auto have problems with lots of short journeys - would the DPF become troublesome? Would appreciate feedback from Evoque owners

Thanks

Phoenix

Diesel for short journeys will probably not be the most ideal option but not a real problem I think. As for the DPF, as long as you do a longer trip from time to time it should be fine. And anyway you'll get a warning if the car needs a longer trip to clear the DPF.

If you bought a new Freelander2 today you would get a DPF too, KimV is right though, give it some welly once a week you will burn out the particulate and clean the filter
