I don't see on any literature so far what the width mirrors out and mirrors folded is, they have only given the front wheel track

In AutoCad I set dimension at 1625mm and then imported a front view picture from the brochure. Then scaled the picture to the wheel base dimension. Then checked the height and it was was 1610mm so within 5mm. Then measured width and total width is 1930mm. The mirrors do not stick out past the guards so that is the maximum width. Well close enough for now.

AutoExpress say that the Evoque is actually shorter than a Ford Focus
Pal at work has an X1 and it seems quite small - I do hope the Evoque is a tad bigger than that

Google says an X1 is 4453mm in length; 98mm longer. A 2010 Focus is 4337mm; 18mm shorter.

Coupe is 4355mm long, 1965mm wide with mirrors folded and 1605mm high
Evoque is 4365mm 1965mm 1635mm
X1 is 4454mm 1798mm 1545mm
So X1 is longer, narrower and lower

Yes, Tim - I have the brochure (just too lazy to check figures)
Overall it seems that the Evoque is quite a bit bigger than the X1 (apart from length)

Thanks Kermit - I wonder if AutoExpress is referring to the new model Focus - they definitely state the Evoque as being shorter in this week's issue

The Tiguan was mentioned elsewhere on the forum; Google says it's 4427mm, 72mm longer.

New Ford Focus is (5-Door) is 4358mm long and 1823mm wide without mirrors or with mirrors 2010mm.
Sourced the specs and looks quite a leap in terms of features from previous Focus models - New Ford Focus Brocuhure
