Registration Printing.... - Le19h - 26-04-2012 10:48am

Does anyone know where I am able to get a set of 'show' Evoque registration plates printed?
I have a new 11 plate WE11 SXX for the car... and given my surname wells... I would like a show plate to read WE11S XX. LR are unable to print a set a show plates!

Great number for your name.

The reason LR won't give you the plates the way you want them is because they are illegal. You can still get the plates with your spacing but be prepared for being stopped by the police and maybe a few fines. Good luck anyway, hope you enjoy the new car!!

I get the illegal side of this, we have similar plates with XO and XV and they dont seem to mind! (Anyhow they are show plates, I didnt say they would be a perm fixture on the evoque!)

I am more after has anyone found a specific printer that prints the evoque sized plates, I seem to recall having looked I couldnt find one... or are the plates standard size front and back?

BTS18 - hopefully yours will be pulled forward?! I had a build date of 25/04 until the call this morning!

I've used fancyplates.com in the past and was happy with the quality

Plates are std size front and rear

cjfp - thanks for the confirmation, the rear plates look larger in some of the photos.

bts18 - seen your response on the timings - should be good!

My plates are standard at front and deeper at rear. Also worth considering GB logo on side, my dealer didnt supply plates with GB logo and there is nothing on the rear of a RRE which a magnetic GB sign will stick to.

There must be multiple sizes that fit then - my original (from dealer) and my 'show' plates are the same (std) size

Halfords made me up a front plate for an American friend, no problems, just had to sign a disclaimer that the plate wouldn't be used on UK roads ( he was taking it back to North Carolina to fit to his Freelander1) IIRC it read BE44 FAR with tiny x's between the 44 & the FAR, quite legal in NC apparrently. There is a Bentley driving round on the plate HA52 NOB................ With a tiny " After the 2Laughing gedit? Somebody had to make the plate for him and the " is so small it looks like a smudge on the plate!
