My understanding was that a style 7 was just a dirty style 6 Very Happy

Looks like Style 7 to me, but could be Style 6 rims with 2 days worth of brake dust.

this car is brandnew and is being offered to me. Smile

so there shouldnt be any brake dust

That's precisely why I didn't go for 7's like these. They look perpetually dirty.

This was my worry, and my primary concern for 6's over 7's, however having opted for the 7's, my fears are alleviated. It really does look nothing like brake dust and I would have been gutted if I'd have got the 6's and subsequently then seen the 7's.

I saw a Coupe with Style 7's that had been horrendously kerned on all 4 wheels and the damage was much more noticeable than the 2 small scuffs I have on my style 6's. Made me more pleased that I didn't opt for style 7's

I think using the term "gutted" over a choice of wheel suggests you should get a life. Fact is, the 6's are easier to refurbish and the £250 spent on the 7's will be worth diddly squat at re-sale.

I think "gutted" could be read as "disappointed". I too would be disappointed if I was paying for my preferred choice of wheels only to find that they were not the ones I had wanted.
