Five Door in the metal ? - Fox - 08-02-2011 08:56am

Anyone seen a 5 door in the metal yet ?

I'm curious what it'll be like, but have a feeling it's going to be smaller than I expect. Which could be a good thing.

We (well, my wife drives it) has a Skoda Yeti at the moment and we really like it. I'm guessing it's going to be a similar size ?

I used to have a FFRR (08 Vogue SE) but sold it as it was only being used for commuting. And it was far too expensive to own/run just to drive to work.
We couldn't use it weekends as parking the thing in any car park was a PITA, unless you liked climbing out through the tailgate. So we always took the Skoda.

I bought a run-about but keep thinking about a 5 door Evoque...
Land Rover habbits die hard it seems. Laughing

There's one here Fox [Image: RR%20Evoque%20050111.jpg]

For a BABY Range Rover it look bigger than I expected.

Thanks Tim.

The 3 door is nicer. But it could be the angle of the photo giving it a large rear end.

I think I'll need to see it in person before considering spending £40k(ish?)

Fox, have you surfed over to the main Land Rover website and clicked on the Evoque section on there, there is a very basic build configurator on that and you can see 3 and 5 door versions in the various colours and with the various wheel designs, then you can rotate the picture to see the car from various angles. I think it's amazing how different the two body styles look yet they are both the same dimensions - IMHO the 3 door looks much crisper, although I usually buy 4/5 door cars this could be my first 3 door since I owned a Volvo 480ES way back in the 1980's!

I agree Tim, 3 door is nicer. But it'll make loading the baby (and baby seat) a pain. Smile

Ah yes I understand the need for a 5 door now! Babies soon grow up into passengers that can clamber in and out of the back seat though

He is only 19 months. Think I still need a 5 door for some years yet... Laughing
