Another colour coding question. - David-H. - 29-02-2012 10:09pm Hi. While at the dealers today discussing with the bodyshop painting our Style 6 alloys as Style 7s, the guy from the body shop said they're keen to colour code the matt black arches on a Dynamic, gloss black to match the grill, vents etc. The company, JRM Coachworks, did the Firenze Red in Pentland's showroom in this thread - http://babyrr.com/forum/Thread-Colour-coding?highlight=coding Any thoughts on how gloss black arches would look greatly appreciated. RE: Another colour coding question. - XFullFatTim - 29-02-2012 11:21pm Mine are just about there after the paint protection was applied! Not sure if they wouldn't be a bit OTT on an OG car though, it's a fairly understated colour (i.e. it isn't as "in your face" as Fuji or Firenze or Colima) might be better to leave them as the factory intended. They are quite a smooth shark skin finish anyway so you could always apply some Back to Black/ Armorall in an out of sight corner somewhere to see before taking the plunge RE: Another colour coding question. - The Valeter - 01-03-2012 01:21am I was just thinking about this & recon the arch trims & lower corners on the front bumper on a Dynamic would look good in gloss black to match! I may think about this, what do others think? Yeah I was thinking the same, originally I thought the same as the body colour but now think black would be better - gloss black makes them much easier to clean as I used to hate using back 2 black every time you wash the car. Apparently Gtechniq have some treatment for the black plastic so am gonna see how that works first as gonna have mine detailed and treated with C1 when I pick it up next week!! (sorry just had to drop that in ) Have you used anything like that Valeter? |
