Rear-facing baby seat - recommendations? - aljrob - 22-02-2012 12:03pm Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations based on real-world experience for rear-facing isofix baby seats which work well with the 5 door Evoque? Thanks, Aljrob RE: Rear-facing baby seat - recommendations? - Mag1c_dragon - 23-02-2012 08:23am Did use it on my evoque but we used a Maxi Cosi Cabrio when my son was. Fab seat and it should fit on the RRE. A good store will let you try them in your car before you buy. We bought the isofix base to go with it too and it was solid as a rock and I always felt my son was safe and secure in those early days RE: Rear-facing baby seat - recommendations? - Sarcastrix - 23-02-2012 08:50am (23-02-2012 08:23am)Mag1c_dragon Wrote: Maxi Cosi Cabriofix +1 http://www.maxi-cosi.com/products/car-seats/infant/cabriofix.aspx RE: Rear-facing baby seat - recommendations? - WB - 23-02-2012 10:17am Whichever seat you go with I'd really recommend ISOFIX. Thanks, I was certainly intending to use the ISOFIX. Sarcastrix - have you used this seat in the Evoque? Does it fit ok? Used it in the rear of a Freelander (and A4, Passet, SX4) with the Isofix base when my son was younger, not the Evoque. The only slight drawback is you can't get the front seat all the way back, although this normal with rear facing seats. The only car I managed this in was my A6 allroad. I didn't bother with the isofix base though, just used standard, but that was on a fait bravo, where rear room much worse. RE: Rear-facing baby seat - recommendations? - aljrob - 23-02-2012 01:38pm Thanks all for the info - v. useful, I'll have a look at that one. I'd be very grateful if someone who has used a seat specifically in an actual Evoque could comment though. I have a recaro at the moment: http://www.recaro-seats.co.uk/child-seats/young-sport.php very good, lots of adjustment and fits nicely, though not suitable for a newborn, but from 6 months onwards, should last all the way until they no longer require anything. (before then get a maxi cosi) I have also fitted a protector on the back of the passenger so they won't mark it when kicking, and also a seat protector, both cheap options from supermarket but should do the job. RE: Rear-facing baby seat - recommendations? - XFullFatTim - 23-02-2012 03:25pm was there not recently a thread about Isofix car chairs? ALJRob have you tried using the search function to look through all the posts made since the forum started? |
