Instructions on removing/reinstalling interior panels - TOPIx - martinPL - 27-01-2012 03:02am

I would like to get detailed instructions/schematics on the internal paneling (need it for the installation of laser jammer/radar detector). Land Rover's TOPIx site seems to have them but only on subscription bases (you can get 1 hour subscript for $11 Smile. Does anyone know if such guide/instructions are available there? Not that $11 is a fortune but why waste it.
BTW, I will be installing Escort Passport 9500ci which I've used on my S5 (just sold) and Range Rover Sport; simply, I cannot imagine driving without it Twisted Evil. Local installers want a fortune for the custom installation.

Search the mirror threads. There are instructions for door panel removal from a mechanic on of them.

door panel removal is not of interest here. The components are located:
- rear license plate bracket
- radiator area
- and under the dash
The idea is to learn how to remove some factory panels without breaking the pins, nipples, etc. The installation in general is a known thing but I am interested in Evoque specific application.

Everything you need is on Topix from trim removal to wiring diagrams and connector locations. You can save in document for like I attach here as an example tough you may need 24hrs to get all you need for your model of car to save missing something.

Exactly the answer I needed. MANY THANKS!!! Looks as it would make sense to plan the cable routes in advance and then get all necessary info from TOPIx; yes, 24 hours might not be enough but the cost of even a weekly subscription and being able to do it carefully myself is by far a better option that paying $1K+ for questionable installation. Thx again.

Your welcome.

If you pay for 24hrs you can log in and get all the total cars wireing diagrams, connector pictures, trim pdfs etc etc you will ever need. Of course you will need to sit for a good few hrs out of that possibile 24 to get them all but if you did it this way at least you would not miss anything as you would have the full car and could plan your routing after you know the car structure.

Better idea yet. Thx. Perhaps I can go skiing and have my wife do it Smile; after all, the new-coming RRE will be primarily driven by her.
