Shocked I had to check the date to make sure it wasn't April the 1st!

Christ what next??.....The droplets from the air con system recirculated into drinking water!!!

RE: TESSA - XFullFatTim - 04-10-2011 04:29pm

RRV we use to do that on the ship................. until Legionaires Disease was discovered to breed in air-con units.

Back to topic - LR would have to supply some pretty well insulated connections to the house so as not to loose too much of the stored heat, not much good if like some you live in a mansion with a stable block for a garage................... mind you if they could store the heat long enough it would be useful for park heating in the winter.

It was in 1976 RRV, ship was at anchor off Bahrain for 6 months and we couldn't make water with the evap as the engine was stopped so condensate from the air-con was used for toilets and showers, not for drinking. We were making about 4 tonnes a day of condensate - in those days FW there cost $500 a tonne and had to be brought out to the ship by a barge. There is no way you could get away with it today though.
