There's also this item, again on the BBC website http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-14726189

If you look at the tyres on the car in Blackseries photo it won't get very far off road with that tread pattern!

I quite like it, it doesn't depart too much from the Defender if you visualise it with a vertical front screen and radiator grill.

I, for one, won't be rushing to place a deposit on this beast!

Here is a another link.

I have to say its a grower if LR can put together an XS version in SW for less than 30k .... it will find a market.

From a brief read the boys on defender 2 are holding a wake..... to be fair the beach buggy concept may be seen as just pushing traditional defender owners buttons.

Press conference was intresting as i've said elsewhere with the Land Rover brand very much at the fore front with the release of the rebranding of Jaguar Land Rover as JLR complete with new logo. looks like there is a move back from the two distinct brands approach which has been popular the last couple of years.

Have threatened James at LPR with a deposit on a 2014 replacement of my trust currently 16 years old TDi 300 - with inclement Scottish weather the Station wagon version would be the sensible hat option, but I rather fancy the 2seat/ pickup version that according to the item above isn't going to make it into production "as a Land Rover" so could this be the Evoque soft top I wonder!
I see in Autocar for last week that the mini sportster thing is really panned as hopeless!

I think it looks great.

4 orders today, including Tim! It's ironic that Evoque has just been launched, and here I was 6 years ago taking the first LRX deposits and wondering if it would ever go into production!

The released pic from the other day resulted in mixed opinions, however the latest pics with the Sport variant have set the LPR phones alight!

If anyone wants one then let me know!

Where's Tim.............

Guess he's on the DVLA site looking for DC10 OLR Wink

no I don't need any more cherished plates, I already have 2 plates on retention and another in use on my 90 so it would have to have one of my MUD plates, unless LR market it as a Range Rover........... and then I still have FA57 RRS to go with the Evoque plate
