Where can I see the Evoque? - testme2011 - 31-03-2011 10:33pm Hi all Does anyone know how I can see a finished Evoque in the flesh asap? I'm keen tk see it before I place an order? Also, what are peoples thoughts on the boot size? RE: Where can I see the Evoque? - Blackseries - 31-03-2011 10:44pm Your best bet if you want to see one before May at the "London Event" is do a factory tour - but check that they are building some the day you want to go. Re the boot size - how much space do you need? It will hold a medium sized dog if that helps. The Evoque is smaller than a Freelander - its more like a 5 door Audi TT on stilts. Remember its shorter than a new Focus. RE: Where can I see the Evoque? - XFullFatTim - 31-03-2011 11:21pm Autocar reckons a couple of sets of golf clubs will be no problem......... For a vehicle that is only 4.3m in length I think 550/575 litres (seats up) is a huge amount. A Jetta, which is about a foot longer, has about the same capacity, IIRC. A Golf, about 6" shorter, has around 350L. I think these measurements must refer to a full boot i.e. up to the roof. But having said that the boot is bigger than you would expect due to the sides being so high because the waist of the car rises so much. RE: Where can I see the Evoque? - XFullFatTim - 01-04-2011 10:09am Looking at photos in Autocar September 2010 Issue show the boot to be quite big in relation to the size of the car and how large the boot is with the rear seats in use is one of the things that several of the car mags have commented on RE: Where can I see the Evoque? - vision*R - 01-04-2011 10:20am Having seen the Evoque at a car show, I didn't think the boot was large. Compared to my Lexus IS, which doesn't have a spectacular boot either, especially the depth was slightly disappointing, but the height makes up for part of that. I think you can manage for daily use without problems. Going on vacation with two kids and luggage will be another story. RE: Where can I see the Evoque? - Blackseries - 01-04-2011 10:21am From the rough measurements I made at the motorshow I reckon the boot capacity to the top of the seats is approx 435 ltrs - 450 ltrs RE: Where can I see the Evoque? - XFullFatTim - 01-04-2011 10:37am From the e-brochure Quote - Luggage Capacity Rear seats upright Height 840mm*/870mm** Width 1,090mm Loadspace volume 550 litres*/575 litres** Loadspace width between arches 1,000mm Rear seats forward Length 1,580mm Width 1,090mm Loadspace volume 1,350 litres*/1,445 litres** Loadspace width between arches 1,000mm Maximum box size (width x height) 900mm x 620mm*/900mm x 625mm** Headroom Maximum front headroom (without sunroof) 965mm*/990mm** Maximum front headroom (with sunroof) 995mm*/1,025mm** Rear headroom (without sunroof) 945mm*/965mm** Rear headroom (with sunroof) 970mm*/1,010mm** *Range Rover Evoque Coupé **Range Rover Evoque Unquote Time to get the big sheet of cardboard and the Stanley tape measure out and make a "Blue Peter" mock-up! From what I saw I'm guessing it's around 700mm. |
