General maintenance of my Evoque SE Tech 2.0lt Diesel 2017 Model - cliveallen - 06-07-2017 12:04am
Hi All, I’ve had my new lease car for 3 weeks now, please can someone inform me of the recommended engine oil and coolant I need to stock up on, also if you know where I can purchase this at discount. Thank in advance.

You wouldn't need to - these things are covered by the regular servicing program.
The only reason you should need to open the bonnet is to top up the washer fluid.

Clive, welcome to the forum.
A) Your car may use a bit of oil in the first 1000 miles but as Pete says your friendly LR dealership will top it up if you opted for the service agreement (ANY LR service bay should do the job on the service plan as they only need to type your car's VIN into the system to see if you have the plan) After that, and I add that I don't have personal experience of running an Ingenium engined Evoque, the cars generally don't consume oil between services. Bear in mind that servicing is still every 12 months OR 16,000 miles, whichever comes first. The dealers will also top up AdBlue for free under the service plan. The full lub oil spec is in the owner's handbook
B) I have never heard of a new Land Rover of any model that has needed coolant top ups - there are reports of porous level floats triggering false low level alarms and a couple of reports of new cars loosing coolant due to jubilee clips in the system not being done up tightly enough on the production line, but that is exceptionally rare and LRA need to be called out if that happens as they will recover the car to the nearest dealership for attention. Both of these issues occurred pre 2015MY and with petrol engined cars. The details of the required coolant are also in the owner's manual.
We have an oil specialist company that sponsors the forums (Oppie Oils) - suggest that you contact them for a top up kit, however the Castrol versions of the oil is available quite widely - but do check that your local dealer won't provide you with a free Castrol Top Up kit - I seem to get them whenever my cars go in for a service and have a collection of unused kits in the back of my garage now!

The service interval in UK for 2.0 Ingenium Diesel is 2 years or 20,000 miles whichever comes first. You may need less than 1/2 litre after 1000 miles or so then nothing. The service warning will also indicate an earlier service if the type of running (lots of short journeys) contaminates the oil.
There is a service update for "oil dilution". I had a "service due in 1000 miles" warning at 10,600 miles in 13 months.
Dealers did software upgrade and changed oil and filter under warranty.
