Mud flaps - JamesW - 04-02-2017 03:24pm Has anyone fitted mudflaps themselves? I've seen videos of it being done on YouTube and it looks easy. Next question is PowerfulUK do aftermarket ones significantly cheaper than genuine Land Rover. Other than one fitting looking better on aftermarket, they seem to look exactly the same. Unfortunately the photos of the fronts fitted don't really show how tight they fit to the body. Has anyone fitted a set of these compared to the genuine LR ones and if so, can you tell they're different - e.g. slightly different profile, not fitted tight to the body etc. I have seen the videos of them fitting the rear one and the gap around the bumper looks obviously different and as though they aren't quite fitted properly. But that could be because rather than replacing a part of the rear bumper trim they reuse it. RE: Mud flaps - XFullFatTim - 06-02-2017 02:15pm Plenty of members have fitted them themself. As you may already have found a Land Rover dealer is the most expensive place to buy any LR branded accessories from and often the same gear can be bought from the original manufacturer for a fraction of the cost of buying from LR. Thule roof racks and boxes for example. RE: Mud flaps - PhilSkill - 06-02-2017 04:03pm The LR ones fit on top of existing trim, if fitted properly there is no noticeable gap. |
