I used to get that on a diesel Golf I had - it was just the DPF going through a forced regeneration and the DPF gets VERY hot. Either that or you have oil leaking onto your exhaust!

In winter I had this with my VOLVO. It was the preheater's exhaust Wink
I don't know if yours is fitted with a preheater and if it is cold enough...

Possibly preheaters not fitted in Australia! Laughing

Have you taken the car and the videos into a dealer for investigation? As a 2016MY it is still under warranty.

@ Steve D:
Canberra -2°c in june...
So there is a possibility that preheaters are installed.

I had some puffs of smoke, 1 came into the cabin too the first couple of regenerations that were done, Scared the shxt out of me as had been driving quite hard then came to a stop and saw smoke drifting in the cabin, till I realised it was probably the DPF.

If it does it more than a few times I'd get it checked though incase it's something burning/leaking on the exhaust.

Well, I don't know about the rest of Europe and especially where you live, but to my knowledge they don't even offer preheaters over here and it gets a lot colder than -2C.

I live near and work in Canberra, never heard of the need for a preheater and don't think we have them here in Oz. Never heard it getting below - 11 or -12 down this way.
