It is indeed Northumberland, but getting from Northumberland to Newcastle is less than half a mile so not going to make that much difference to the miles.

Computer said 41,54 after a 80 mile drive st speed between 65-70 mph. not particularly careful on the throttle either considering overtakings etc.

An SD Auto with 2500 miles on the clock.

Seems almost to good to be true, so I guess I'll have to check it at the pump as well.Rolling Eyes

finally got 43 mpg!!! stated by onboard comp and my app on phone....driven at 68 m/hr (boring) for 600 kilometres...still a ways to go to LR figures, but at least an improvement on my average 36.....

My SD4 Manual with 4,500 miles on it and 2.5 months old has been averaging circa 42mpg for last few weeks. This last week I've had an unsually high percentage of the week on A roads with not much time spent over 50 mph....

So filled up tonight with 46.32ltrs of Tesco diesel having covered 478 miles - that works out backwards to 46.86mpg. I've had some fun on some twisty bits of road this week too - I'm seriously imprressed now.

First 3000 miles done in the Sd4 manual

Trip computer say 38.5 mpg average

Calculator says 38.48 mpg average

Its been a mix of driving , but i have kept the motorway speed down to 70mph

I cannot get anywhere near 49.6 mpg combined cycle

Recently gone through the 5000 mile mark

Average speed is 44 mph
Average MPG according to the car is 36.5mpg

My fuel purchases/tracking show an MPG at 32 with a high of 36.6 for one fill. Just back from 1500 miles down to southern Switzerland and back, loaded with 2 weeks luggage etc, thus the mph...

I used to get 29.5 out of my 2.8l 1995 C-Class!

Just a word of warning to those who use one of the trip meters as a total from new that if your battery goes flat and you need a jump start you loose all the data.................. just been there! The radio presets get kept but you loose the clock and the MOG data with a flattened battery
