RE: SD4 Engine flat spot - wungun - 18-04-2019 12:25pm Have you checked the spark plugs? What's your mileage? I replaced mine last week (and air filter) with 118,000 KM and it fixed the stumble/hesitation leaving a stop. I also changed the MAF sensor last week, its helped, as has the new air filter, 99 octane fuel, a bottle of Techron fuel treatment etc. but still have a definite problem with anything but the lightest throttle use. If you’re using 99 octane fuel in a SD4 engine or changing spark plugs, you’ve got a major problem! ![]() RE: SD4 Engine flat spot - XFullFatTim - 20-04-2019 10:01am OP does say in his post that he has an Si4 Steve......... Don't feel I should have to given its a problem that shouldn't be there and the car's just a year old but I'll do it anyway and let you know the results on these pages. Edit: Ah, just read the whole 'SD4 Engine flat spot' thread. Just seen Carlos 50’s post. He wasn’t the OP but jumped in on the thread later. I didn’t see his first post in this thread stating what engine he had. RE: SD4 Engine flat spot - XFullFatTim - 21-04-2019 08:23am Sorry I thought you were referring to Carlos50 |
