Tekno, I was shown at least 3 by Matt at LPR on Friday, only one I can remember after having my brian fried with info on the 2 hour long hand-over. I will email Matt and get him to remind me tomorrow - now I have to fill my flask, pack the hedge loppers, water proofs and wellies and shift my Defender off the drive and get the Evoque ready for its first play on some private roads around the Loch Long/ Loch Fyne area about 40 minutes drive from here.

One 1st for me was to find that the reversing lights in addition to the headlights are enabled as "follow me home" lights.

Interested to hear how you get on with the 20" wheels and standard tyres off road.

Have fun in the mud - whatever you may be doing!

Tim,

Did you get the remote heater or timed heater functionality?

RE: The maiden voyage! - XFullFatTim - 11-09-2011 11:13pm

AC, no I didn't spec it - i was very disappointed with it in the FFRR last winter and found it never got the inside if the car warm so I went for the heated steering wheel to go with the heated seats. I can get the car into my garage so hopefully I won't regret not speccing the park/Remote heater

I didn't even realise it was an option, I probably would have specced it if I'd known...although I was also disappointed with it in my FFRR.

Have you seen any other Evoques out and about yet Tim? I've spent about 20hrs on the road since Friday and I've not seen any, which is good! I still want them to be a little bit rare by the time I get mine in November!

Am sure we've talked about this before and correct me if I'm wrong but don't think it is an option in the UK

Hi Tim,

I have enjoyed reading your adventures!
Do you have a `standard` garage door? Did you have to fold the mirrors to get in?
