The service invoice gets split out - before you say you are bringing your own, ask how much the oil component is and they should then just be able to delete it from the cost.

The two dealer's service bays I have used have been quite happy for me to supply my own oil provided it meets the spec, they have both noted it on the service report as well. Give them plenty of notice that this is what you want and make sure that the service reception is also aware (ie TELL them) when you check the car in for the service and make sure you write on the form they get you to sign that you are supplying oil that meets the required spec.

That makes it probably worth while spreading the cost at no interest....still not sure really but at least that way you dont need to get all upset as the dealer wont give as much discount as you hoped for. Thud

My dealer quoted me £1100 for 3 services when i took it in to have the weather strip on door replaced as it was loose when i received the car, even though Ive had the car 9 months, I told them I bought the service package with the car so don't need it. So I guess you can still buy the service package.

Griff take it to Lookers Park Royal as that who is doing my service! Last car had serviced there the labour charges were £20/h cheaper than getting it done locally in Scotland, so much for London being so expensive! I'm in Southampton next week and will be in Lonodn the week after so it made sense to get the service down there while I was down in the south - they also save me £6 a day parking fees to leave the car all day in the hotel carpark!

Just been quoted £322 (incl VAT) for my first service incl. collection and return to my office (about 8 mils away from dealer - Stratstone Wolverhampton)

Thought I was going to have to play them off against other dealers for price match but I've gotta say I'm pretty happy with that.

UPDATE: My other local dealers quoted £340 and £366 incl VAT
