You don't HAVE to be in 6th gear to engage the cruise on a manual gearbox, you can be in any gear that you like but as soon as you touch the clutch or the brake or the cancel button the cruise will drop out. The only manual car I had cruise control on was an MG Metro, worked a treat too.

I drove one at Gaydon and have to agree it's a lovely car to drive. I believe that some of the Experience Centres may have or be getting Si4 Prestige.

Not sure what to go for. Dealer has a manual Prestige 190bhp which I could drive away next week (with a small discount as its a stock car) or I could wait till end of December for an auto Prestige 150bhp. As another poster mentioned in Spain the Auto costs €4,400 more, the difference between the 150bhp and the 190bhp is €3,000. I cannot afford both auto and 190bhp. The specs for the model he has in stock is very close to what I would order.

Got the weekend to think about it and do lots of searching, positives and negatives.

Is a TD4 (150) auto available, this would be my ideal choice as I'd like an auto, but cannot justify the £2600 to upgrade to an SD4 (190) to have auto against the Pure TD4 manual I've specified.

Looking at your location I assume that the TD4 (150) auto is specific to your country as I cannot seem to spec one in the UK?

Acutally I think the TD4 auto is available in all countries (those that have a TD4 of course) except for the UK.

How odd. Land Rover UK must have their reasons for their decision Confused
