+ 1 but I did manage 40mpg on motorway.

RE: Real world mpg - DaveR - 25-01-2012 08:17pm

Just done couple of hundred miles a mix of rush hour motorway (m6) and congested roads. This was over two journeys, on the first motorway run taking it easy I was on for 42mpg. After getting home tonight it had averaged out at 37mpg over the last 2 days.

This is all according to the trip computer.

SD4 Auto with less than a 1000 miles on.

Still doing 29/30 mpg driving a little more passive than I did in my BMW 635 which had a twin turbo 3 litre engine that did 34 mpg and was a lot more pokey! Have even had thoughts of chopping in for an X6...

RE: Real world mpg - bobs - 25-01-2012 10:08pm

Just got my ED4, one of the first I've read about in this thread. Did 120 miles today on A-roads and with city driving each end. I got 44mpg on the car trip computer. I know they say the engine doesn't need any running in, but that's got to improve as it loosens up.

I think this highlights the problem with the government tests. i guess on the rolling road the SD and TD return the same, but in reality the TD could be better (as you would expect).

If the Government (no matter who is in) has anything to do with or anything else for that matter it is all bound to be a load of codswallop! Couldn't organise a p*** up in the Commons.

Sorry for the tangent question - why do people keep mentioning 'fogs' in their signatures? I thought fogs were standard on all Evoques?

Nice. Think the auto takes a big hit on fuel economy, so you did well choosing a manual
