RE: Ipanem Sand Prestige - MPK - 27-08-2011 12:04am The following review has 79 pics of Ipanema Sand. http://www.completecar.ie/testdrives/article/Range_Rover/null/Evoque/389/1229 RE: Ipanem Sand Prestige - benzina - 20-09-2011 04:29am It's hard to tell from the pics, but in real life, does Ipanema Sand have any beige/yellow in it,or is it a shade of grey, that is slightly darker then Indus Silver? The name suggests it not a shade of grey, and that it has tinge of beige/yellow in it. RE: Ipanem Sand Prestige - griff - 20-09-2011 08:43am Its a silver that in the right light looks like it has a champagne tinge to it. Photos don't do it justice, but I'm biased RE: Ipanem Sand Prestige - benzina - 20-09-2011 09:28am That sounds like it does have a yellow/beige tinge to it then. To put it another way, would it fall between Indus Silver & Orkney Grey, or is it infact a light champagne? RE: Ipanem Sand Prestige - XFullFatTim - 20-09-2011 09:43am OK so it isn't an Evoque, here is lots of Ipanema sprayed onto a FFRR to give you an idea and a D4 It's more like the shade that LR used to call White Gold. RE: Ipanem Sand Prestige - benzina - 20-09-2011 09:50am I think i might have to go into the dealer, and have a look at the samples, and they may even have an RR with it too. cheers. RE: Ipanem Sand Prestige - benzina - 20-09-2011 01:34pm Thanks Tim, i get the idea now...and white gold probably confirms it is really not a shade of grey. I think i'll stick with Indus, but am leaning towards a Sumatra black roof. The problem is...this thing is so damb desirable, that i love alot of different combinations they have on offer, and it's starting to drive me nuts. RE: Ipanem Sand Prestige - benzina - 21-09-2011 06:25am Yep....went and saw it today, and while i quite like the touch of gold, I prefer the industrial tech look of Indus Silver more. What i did upgrade to though, was a black roof, and also went from Style 6 to style 7 shadow chrome 20'' alloys. RE: Ipanem Sand Prestige - Spiderman - 22-09-2011 12:58am I had a Disco 3 in Ipanema Sand and it was a terrific car to keep clean, in the countryside the dirt & dust seemed to match it's colouring exceptionally well & it always looked clean irrespective if it was not...good choice, I'm sure those of you that spec this colour with a Dynamic model, with that models black trim highlights, will be absolutely delighted for sure. The only interior colour way to go with it is ivory or black IMHO as it's champagne in colour... Ipanema is a desert in South America, I'm sure I recall LR advising me that's how they got the name for this colour! RE: Ipanem Sand Prestige - griff - 22-09-2011 11:54am That's encouraging spiderman as I have spec'ed as you can see below. I changed to ambiance recently as I thought the ivory would be better than tan. Thanks for your input. |
