RE: Coupe rear windows - cjfp - 13-06-2012 08:51am I'm not wanting to argue (or similar) but it still doesn't answer the situation as I have RDS and TMC but I don't have the lines, so how does that work? What we are looking for is the correct answer not guesswork. RE: Coupe rear windows - RacingSnake - 13-06-2012 09:18am "debate" not argue no seriously though, I'm merely stating whats been said on here in 2 places, the 2 options posted (TV & RDS) haven't really been analysed as options. I don't mean to play devils advocate, but possibilities are being dismissed without question. so then CJFP, your task today, is to call up LR and ask them RE: Coupe rear windows - XFullFatTim - 13-06-2012 11:29am I have asked if Pete Bell at BAS could put everybody out of their "doubt". Hopefully he will be long shortly with a reply RE: Coupe rear windows - doug - 13-06-2012 04:44pm As to why an Evoque without the TV would have the lines on the rear glass is a mystery Only guessing now, but could be a glass supply problem. So to keep the build line going they fit what ever glass they have. RE: Coupe rear windows - XFullFatTim - 13-06-2012 09:33pm It maybe that it is more cost effective to carry only two styles, one with and one without privacy rather than having all the various combinations of antena/ privacy/ non privacy windows RE: Coupe rear windows - bell-auto-services - 14-06-2012 06:51pm Hi, sorry for my late reply. Two TV antennae are located in each rear side quarter window. There are three antennae in each window; the forward antenna is a high frequency antenna and the rearward antenna is a low frequency antenna. A third antenna, located between the two TV antennae is for radio reception. TV antennas are also located within the rear spoiler and are connected to two amplifiers also located in the spoiler. Each quarter window antenna is connected directly to a TV RF antenna amplifier which is located above the rear quarter window, behind the trim. The four TV antenna amplifiers boost the received RF signal before it is collected and processed by the TV tuner. The TV antennas can receive RF signals of between 48 and 860 MHz. On vehicles with remote park heating, the RH rear antenna is fitted with a combined remote park heating/TV antenna amplifier. Regards Pete RE: Coupe rear windows - XFullFatTim - 14-06-2012 08:28pm Thanks Pete RE: Coupe rear windows - cjfp - 14-06-2012 09:26pm @BAS - should all models have this (as it contains a radio aerial) or only certain ones ? |
