Has anyone done over 3000 miles yet and seen any improvement?

RE: Real world mpg - anton - 09-01-2012 02:15am

I have done over 3000 miles now and i havnt seen any improvement si4 still at 23mpg,but i am now enjoying the car more, i dont think you will get any better running 4wd all the time.

I have a SD4 done about 700miles and average is 32mpg - A roads/ Motorway and no real blasts !

Yes - I had 3500 miles on mine when I locked it up in October and my fuel consumption got worse rather than better - Ia m used to my LR's not really showing much improvement before 4000 miles and then it seems that the ECU is programmed for things to re-map at 6000 and 10000! It has only done 40 miles since October as I have been away from home

Not done many miles yet. First fill up at 401miles. Trip computer said 36.2mpg. Paper and pencil said 36.33mpg.

I know published figures are generally totally unrealistic but that as a real world example is shocking. I persoanlly would have expected maybe 35-37mpg would have been your real world figure.

CrawfsEvoque 36mpg seems good for a 4wd auto thats only done 400 miles!

Must be 18's really help?
