Anyone up for that?[/align]

RE: Real world mpg - LDT - 03-01-2012 02:19pm

I would be, despite the fact that I have not taken delivery of my car.

Nothing will change. Would help if when posters quote their mileage they add the following info:

1. Model.
2. Mileage covered so far.
3. Do you live in a flat or hilly area.
4. Have you owned a Landrover product previously and got the stated mpg.
5. MPG achieved so far.

I am not achieving the stated mileage yet. However, I expect to get close eventually. This has been the same as with previous Landrover products. So here are my answers.

1. Pure SD4
2. 360 miles
3. Relatively flat.
4. Many and get close after running in period is over. I accept we don't actually run cars in anymore.
5. 37.6 mpg. Using paper and pencil not trip computer.

Why would you not use the trip computer figures?

I agree. However, let's not throw the baby out with the bath water. If posters want to discuss it then do so knowing their specific circumstances. One won't get the same mileage driving up and down the Rockies as someone else driving around Holland. Petrol v Diesel. Big v small wheels. Car just out of the box. Manual v auto. Hot temp v cold. Oh dear about to give up the will ....... etc.

On a side note. I do think we've struck the first common nerve. Over 16,650 views!! I think that is a record!

Oh dear I wonder who started this threadEmbarrassedEmbarrassed
Pure sd4 auto
1300 miles,
Very slightly hilly ,it is Scotland after all,,
On my 6th rangerover,12 land rovers in total ,33mpg tdv6 sport,29mpg tdv8 full fat,16mpg 4.4v8fullfat,15mpg 4.6 p38,26mpg 2.5 Dse p38,all near enough what you would expect,
Last fill up short trips was the worst ever 26mpg worked out brimming the tankEvil
I know many of you are not concerned but this was why I got rid of my tdv8 now I have lost loads of spec, and space and am not better off as I still get my missus to run my vw fox to work as the evoque is too greedy,I wanted to go down to 1 car
Yes I'm a tight aberdonian but that's not the point ,land rover are claiming urban mpg of 40 mpg plus when we cannot get close to that driving like an old granny!
