Its not a big job, but its a lil stupid and i think its an oversight from LR

You can use this genuine landrover part to change the behavior of the 2 dials

^^ nice mod

RE: Temperature Controls - XFullFatTim - 14-05-2014 04:58pm

Nice and lo-tech and environmentally friendly! I'm sure too that LR would sell it as an expensive dealer fit accessory with 30 minutes labour charged + VAT...............

Superb! Best laugh I've had all day! Thanks Rein

Is a small mod to the fan speed controller necessary so that the fan speed isn't adjusted at the same time as the temperature?

RE: Temperature Controls - cjfp - 15-05-2014 06:15am

See Tim, that's exactly why we would all have ended up working @ LR and putting that into production but you've spotted the downfall and would have ended up at a more luxury manufacturer.

CJ, I bet if LR had designed the temperature controls to be linked all the former BMW and Audi owners would be posting that LR had made the car into a German clone and needed to have more unique features for the price of the car. I bet if you dismantled a BMW or Audi heating controller you would find exactly what Rein has posted, just that it's a better quality rubber band and is hidden behind the dash!

Love this, the best solutions are the simplest.
