I found these whist doing a trawl on the net for car bodywork protection.

Bit of a magnet for low life to try them out by opening there doors as hard as possible.
But if you find your self parked in a tight space at a airport, they could save your paint. Taking into account the many sizes of car doors out there, you would have to full the whole side of your car
