RE: Real World Liter / 100 Kilometer - cjfp - 14-03-2012 12:00pm 1 mile per gallon = 235.214583 l/100km Do we need to watch out for Imperial and US gallon differences ? There are 1.200949857 US gallons to 1 Imperial (UK) gallon (US gallons are smaller). Therefore 20 miles per US gallon (less fuel) is more economical than 20 miles per imperial (UK) gallon (more fuel). I could only manage 17.5 l/100 km. Very disappointed with the official data! This is going to sound odd - but I'm seeming to get better mileage since I dropped the "light footed" method. I now try and accelerate more briskly to move into the higher gears = lower revs as I think the lower gears burn too much fuel! Either that or my engine is loosening after 2500 km. I have a similar around town speed (even lower) occlusion - your number is atrocious but it should improve. RE: Real World Liter / 100 Kilometer - occlusion - 16-03-2012 02:25pm True, thats very disappointing mileage. My ex-Lexus LS460 (v was doing around 18 l/100 km under the same conditions. The new Si4 Evoque which is only 4 cylinder-engine yet its performance is a disgrace! Only hopes because its a new engine, and it will get better..... RE: Real World Liter / 100 Kilometer - GibEvoque - 16-03-2012 04:28pm Mine is making progress, just gone past 800 km mark, and look like its starting to run in. On 150km journey got 8.6l/100km. Pretty pleased with that. RE: Real World Liter / 100 Kilometer - benzina - 23-05-2012 07:00am After about 4500kms of stop/start city driving, i'm averaging about 10L/100kms. Best = 9 L / 100kms I'm happy with that in the city, and soon i will go for a country run, where it will improve dramatically. RE: Real World Liter / 100 Kilometer - Capital - 23-05-2012 07:27am Si4 8,000 odd Kms and have not reset the trip computer and I am on 11.3 per 100. Started out in high 14s and has been steadily improving but has not moved much in last 1000ks Mix of city and country driving Real World Liter / 100 Kilometer - allyb123 - 23-05-2012 07:48am Si4 after 2200kms; I average 10.0L/100km and that's with no freeway driving at all and I drive it pretty hard around the windy roads the central coast has to offer. My gf averages 8.7L/100km but she is 50/50 normal roads/freeway driving. Those figures are with air-con on 100% of the time and stereo blaring. The figures aren't as bad as I thought they would be to be honest. RE: Real World Liter / 100 Kilometer - stiggz - 23-05-2012 12:58pm I'm at 2,500 kms in my SD4 and pretty much sitting flat at 10l/100k combined usage. Average 40km/h. Granted its a heavier car but given I was hitting 8l/100k in my 1.8T Audi driving it hard, its a little frustrating that it is SO FAR away from the specs. I would never expect to hit the spec in any car, but to be so far away grinds me a bit. I think it does rev higher in lower gears than it needs to. You pretty much need to top 2000 revs to get into 3rd using command shift.
