RE: What average MPG are you getting from your SD4? - griff - 22-09-2011 01:40pm I think you will find that the aircon does not run off an engine based pump. I think it is electric. Those who know better than me may be able to confirm. I was told at my old garage that modern air con does not drain systems like they used to. I think Tim polled 37 mpg if I remember right. Maybe we should start a clean poll now that the scale has moved? Sorry mods - can that be done? RE: What average MPG are you getting from your SD4? - griff - 22-09-2011 03:30pm As you can see the votes are set to zero. I can't do moe than that I'm afraid. Cheers RE: What average MPG are you getting from your SD4? - gomark - 22-09-2011 03:32pm Thanks Griff. OK GIRLS AND GUYS. CAN YOU PLEASE REPOST YOUR (TRUE) MPG FOR YOUR SD4S!!! THANKS!! RE: What average MPG are you getting from your SD4? - griff - 22-09-2011 03:35pm If that does not work we will delete the poll and start over again. Here's hoping. RE: What average MPG are you getting from your SD4? - XFullFatTim - 22-09-2011 06:22pm Two points, I have posted my "overall" average, I have actually found it quite easy to get 40+mpg on the trip computer. However in my experience trip computers con you, or flatter you by 2-3mpg. Evoque has 3 trip computers - trip A, trip B and then an average trip computation. These are in addition to the normal odo. Also on the ave TC you can get instant consumption - great when it goes to 999.9mpg, disaapoining a microsecond later when it shows 10! Aircon - I never switch it off auto, all I do is change the temperature setting now and again, so it's running all the time as a dehumidifier rather than a chiller RE: What average MPG are you getting from your SD4? - Blackseries - 22-09-2011 06:22pm (22-09-2011 01:13pm)griff Wrote: There you go folks Many thanks RE: What average MPG are you getting from your SD4? - XFullFatTim - 23-09-2011 10:19am Just stopped at Hilton Services north of Birmingham having left west London at 08:15, now 10:15 here's a photo of the TC, it may be blurred I cannot see as posting from an iPhone, mpg is 43.3 I think. RE: What average MPG are you getting from your SD4? - griff - 23-09-2011 10:24am 43.4 - now thats more like it! RE: What average MPG are you getting from your SD4? - PhilSkill - 23-09-2011 10:41am Good to see it heading into the 40's Tim obviously on Motorway driving, hopefully as your engine beds in it'll improve further, I was surprised by the initial 50mpg claims but if we can be firmly in the 40's on long runs that's pretty respectable. |
